Great food from a surprising strip mall location. Its a bummer that the owners are looking to sell it, but we have always had a good experience with take out and eat in. Solid chicken parm and the service is great!

We have gotten take out from Nonna Marias a few times now and every time it has some how exceeded our expectations. They are a small spot in a strip mall not too far from where we live and if I had to come up with something negative the only thing would be that you need to call ahead of time if you want to get in there or get take out earlier in the evening. From placing my order you can tell they are super busy but every time they stop to be super courteous and patient over the phone. Our order is always ready on time and packed perfectly so that it is still hot when I get home. There is always left overs that somehow reheat (almost) just as good the next day. Their prices are pretty fair considering the portion size and the quality of their food. There are quite a few Italian places in Clifton Park and they are just kind of ok, Nonna Marias is off the charts in comparison.

The food and service is amazing! The portions are enormous! Definitely shareable. It looks small from the street, don't let that fool you. Very family friendly as well

Can't remember the last time I was this excited to write a review. Let me get to the food in a moment, because the people were so cool. Decided to finally come in with my daughter because I'd worked late, and my wife was working even later. Daniella was our waitress, and so incredibly kind. We often play hang man at restaurants; Daniella played with us every time she walked by! We also met the owner, and he was so incredibly nice. Every last person was accommodating, sweet, and funny! Such great people. Alright let me hit food now. I'm still full, because I couldn't stop. That bread. Oh wow that bread. They make it in house. Really, really good bread. They make the salad dressings in house too. There is no bottled salad dressing I've EVER had that can come even close to what they serve. When they brought out my pesto dish... Two thoughts: that smells insane, and I know what's for lunch tomorrow. The portion sizes are large enough to get a "damn dude!" when they came out. My daughter is so picky, and she loved it. When she wished out loud that she had more sauce, Daniella brought it over. My pesto was... I don't have enough adjectives. Maybe BANGIN is strong enough praise. Just so delicious, I wish I had an extra stomach and a loaf of bread. I'd be good for a day with a jar of that pesto. We are going back. Soon. And often. Thank you to the staff and compliments to the chef!!!

Fantastic service (thank you Linda!), a great atmosphere, and phenomenal food and wine. If you're gluten free the pasta is delicious.

I have heard about this restaurant for sometime and knew it was hard to get into thankfully friends were able to get a reservation for four at 4:30 PM on a Friday. There's only 12 tables, but I was struck immediately by the customer service very friendly the aroma and Homemade Italian ambience. They were team servers, but our waitress was very passionate and told us she grew up in a family restaurant and couldn't say enough about the dishes. She was able to articulate the nuances of the dishes, and it was true to form. We enjoyed a carafe or two of homemade sangria. We were told immediately that the bread was housemaid, as well as the dressings. Do not skip either of these. Your entries are served with choice of soup or salad. Although we were warned about the amount of food, we decided to split the chicken, meatball appetizer in vodka sauce, which was rich, tender and amazing And of course we took most of it to go. Each of us chose a different dish, the meatballs and Bolognese, veal Tuscan with sun-dried tomatoes which was an amazing earthy well rounded sauce, served with asparagus and rolled in prosciutto as a topper and of course, choice of side, pasta or veggies and you got to choose the sauce. Do you want it on your pasta as well. One of the specials was a RI scallops dish done in a white wine Parmesan sauce with spinach and diced tomatoes It was amazing with generous portion and scallops done perfectly I would highly recommend it, and I have never seen this particular dish before. I chose the standard veal Parmesan, and you could hear them pounding the veil in the back. It was tender and the right running, as well as a generous portion and nice thickness. Servers were very aware and timely clearing tables. Wrapping to go asking about dessert. We did venture into a slice of tiramisu and four forks. It was very moist and very light finish. You could taste the liquor in the ladyfingers. My only criticism was it was drizzled with chocolate syrup on the top, but it was still very very good. I will definitely be back and bring more friends. I also know I have to plan way ahead and we were warm the truck season. He won't be able to get a reservation. When we were exiting, we got a peek at the kitchen and they were probably six chefs, working together and making amazing meals! Thank you!

Huge portion sizes! Wow! I ordered the signature dish, Chicken Nonna. Great dish. Comes with pasta and salad. I loved the asparagus. And the artichokes. Salad was great. House dressing was yummy. Pasta was great. Bread was also a nice touch. (Seriously, this one dish feeds 2 people...3, and maybe even 4!). Smelled so good when I walked in to pick up my order, lol. Popular place for a very good reason. Friendly owners. Thanks!

Nonna Marias is not very close to me, but I've heard so many recommendations about it, so I had to give it a try. It was worth the drive! Met some friends for a meal there with reservations, and wow-o-wow, they hit it out of the park on everything. Every course. The greeting. The wine. The food. The service. The portions. The flavor and freshness. Very impressive. We started with the calamari app and I don't think it was from frozen. It had just a thin batter coating but tasty and perfect. Almost melt in mouth texture. Cooked proper and served with a huge bowl and plenty of yummy dipping Marinara sauce and lemon wedges. Delicious and just the right portion size for 3 to split. I ordered the Veal Limone and friends ordered the Chicken Ala Nonna and the Fettucini Romano. I had asked the servers recommendations before they arrived and unbeknownst to them, her 2 suggestions happened to be 2 of the meals we selected. We were taken care of by several servers and they all were on point, pleasant, professional and actually cared about and asked for-and listened for satisfaction and feedback for each course. This place easily joins my top 5 list of Italian eateries in the Capital area, along with Cafe Italia, Augies, and Ferraris. If I lived closer, I or my belly or wallet would be in trouble. I'd go weekly or monthly minimum. Now I want to try every meal on the menu! Just can't convey high enough praise. Several workers thanked us for our visit as sincere as the greeting / welcoming was. Good service isn't extinct in Covid times - this place nailed it.

Since the return to dining out we have been trying to go to different restaurants and revisiting various places. Wanted Italian and Noona Maria came up as an option. You will need a reservation to get seated at a reasonable hour, or to get seated at all. We got a reservation a week in advance. I had the veal Maria which was excellent. Like the veal slices and portabella mushroom and it's on top of greens, like the greens in Italian greens. Good sauce. Side of pasta (I chose angel hair) has a very nice tomato based pasta sauce. Server was attentive, polite, and friendly. Told us about the specials with sufficient description and more than willing to answer questions. I am now upgrading my rating to 5 stars. We will definitely return and put this place on our rotation.
